Grendel , the main character, shows proof of supporting these ideas. Existentialism related to the basic idea of individualism, in which each individual is an isolated being too which is cast into an alien universe. In this literary theory, it is believed that the world possesses no inherent human truth, value or meaning.

Throughout the play, Macbeth showed significant signs that his conscience became corrupted and grew smaller as he committed more nefarious deeds. He not only killed innocent people; he also ordered entire families killed by other people. After the murders and during the end of the play, Macbeth even refused to face Malcolm and became stubborn bringing about his death which led to him not to care about the death of his wife. The action was also another demonstration of how Macbeth was the true villain as he showed no remorse even for the death of his wife. Evil is in everybody; however it is the actions we care out that make us truly evil or benevolent.

According to Cohen, monsters would run away or try some way to escape but, instead the narrator admits to the police of his terrifying and inhumane act. He feared they would reject him like the rest of the humans he had encountered up to that point, which they did. This constant abandonment from the people that were supposed to love him left the monster hopeless and lonely. What really sets the monster off if when he makes a final request for a female partner and is rejected by his creator.
