Social Change In Adolescence
Adolescence Essay | Bartleby
At this stage, adolescents exhibit greater social consciousness and actively seek for a sense of identity. However, the process of identity exploration can be difficult for most teenagers. Some may experience peer pressure and conflicts with friends, while others may suffer from social exclusion Hoffnung et al. Additionally, teenagers are more inclined to test the social boundaries and often end up in risk-taking behaviours such as smoking, alcohol drinking and sexual activities. The damages on the emphasis of body image cause psychological effects such as dysmorphophobia, eating disorders, and early sexual practices. Instead of focusing on how to be like everyone else there should be more advertisements for these teenagers on how to love themselves. Works Cited Berk, L.

Everything is much more important to me now and I am very thankful for…. I had been thinking about throwing up for pretty much all of high school.
