TBI provides support and investigative services for the department including polygraphists and processes evidence for the department such as drug identification, blood alcohol tests, and fingerprints. All state criminal charges are filed through the office of the district attorney general for prosecution. If a defendant is convicted the department also works with the county probation officer or the State Probation and Parole office. Ever since I was a little kid I have always been fascinated with becoming a police officer.
